Marion Park

Located in the southeast D.C. neighborhood of Capitol Hill, Marion Park is one of the four Capitol Hill Parks in the area. The park is named after former American Revolutionary, Francis Marion, yet sometimes is more informally known as “Turtle Park.”

On-site, visitors will find a large statue of Francis Marion, officially authorized in 2008. The park is also known for being extremely family-friendly due to its playground and wide-open grassy areas ideal for pets.
